FAQ’s

Who are the workshops for?

These workshops are designed for those who are open to inner change and interested in looking at the human condition, relationship dynamics and the flow of life and love in families and other systems. If you’re seeking clarity on the complex challenges of life and the hidden dynamics that influence it, you’re welcome, whether or not you feel you have a pressing issue.

Doing a constellation has transformed my relationship with my sister

The workshops offer a particularly good way for people who are new to this work to ‘test the water’ – especially as there is no need to decide if you want to explore your own issue or come as an observer before the workshop. Issues that come up for people can be addressed in the moment, and as it feels appropriate for you.

What do I need to know to take part in a workshop?

Nothing. In fact the less you ‘know’ or think you need to know the better able you will be able to access the deeper dynamics that influence human relationship systems. Come as you are, not knowing and you may leave with more that you imagined possible. You can bring an issue or attend as a ‘representative’ for others’ work. Simply attending as an observer can have an impact and provide a range of insights that increase the capacity to manage the complexity of the human experience.

Thought provoking, considerable raising of awareness, high quality of facilitation. I began to see myself and others in a whole new light, leading to new opportunities & possibilities.

What workshop experiences do you offer?

We offer monthly Saturday workshops for people who want to experience this way of looking at issues. Issues explored at the workshops may be personal or could be about challenging professional or organisational issues, or at the border between life and work.

Even after attending many workshops both as representative and issue holder this work never ceases to amaze me by its fluidity, clarity of purpose, and the far reaching effects. Often way beyond one’s own field and well into a large context. ‘Being in the right place’. That is what this workshop supports. Many Thanks.

The workshops provide a gateway to this way of looking and working and an opportunity to experience the potential of constellations to unlock and illuminate apparently intractable challenges.

The days run monthly, mostly in St. James’s Piccadilly, on Saturdays. Some people come regularly and find they benefit from contact with the work even if they do not bring their own issue.

Every so often we run a two-day workshop. Over the two days the healing energy of the group builds and creates an increasingly safe and supportive space. Work tends to deepen as a result.  At these workshops all three members of the team are there to facilitate and support the work throughout the two days.

Park your doubts and rationalisations at the door, enter into the process and prepare to be amazed.

What does it cost to attend?

For 2012 one-day workshops the fee is £55 per person. The two-day workshops are priced at the same rate – £55 per person per day. (i.e. a total of £110 per person). Please see When for the full schedule.

NB: Workshops are payable in advance. Reductions are available for those with financial difficulties, on request. The fee is non-returnable in order to protect the workshop costs. We remain committed to making these workshops accessible financially by keeping fees as low as possible.

What background and training do the facilitators have?

The facilitators of these workshops and on this website are part of a wider community drawn from those who trained together in this method between 2004 & 2007 with CSISS. In addition to our training in this work, we each bring other specialist trainings and experiences to these workshops.

I had no prior knowledge of what might go on and went with a curious and open mind. The facilitators made it feel safe enough to try my own constellation, and helped me work through an issue of ’stuckness’ that I have been feeling for sometime. It gave me some real clarity. This is very powerful work, and this is a very accessible way to learn about it. I would wholeheartedly recommend this workshop to others.

Is this therapy?

Although the effects of this work are often experienced as deeply therapeutic and resolving and the work is sometimes referred to as a ‘family system therapy’, ‘family constellations’ or a kind of ‘brief therapy’, this Systemic Constellations Work is not therapy in the sense of an ongoing therapeutic relationship over time. It is a methodology used to search for deeper insights into and resolutions for challenging or stuck issues. Although often used alone, constellations are frequently used to help surface a deeper agenda for personal or professional development work or to complement ongoing therapeutic or coaching relationships and processes.

What about confidentiality?

A constellation can often free us from our ’story’ about an issue and get us in contact with something deeper. As a result the workshops are often profound and touching and we work with the group to ensure that an appropriate level of confidentiality is established and the work is within your permission and comfort levels.

Where does this approach come from?

Bert Hellinger, drawing on many different therapeutic models, developed this method in the 1980’s in Germany. He continues to innovate and constellations as a method are now used widely across the world and in many different forms.
