Learning circle

Learn more?
Some people who have attended our workshops over the past three years have enquired about learning opportunities so that they can build a deeper understanding of the underpinning principles and practices of this approach. To meet this consistent demand we have now created a learning circle, the first of which begins in the spring of 2012.
In March and April 2012 we will be offering our first Learning Circle – over four days – covering some of the basics of the theory and practice of systemic constellation work.
The days will run from 10 am to 4.30 pm on Monday
MARCH 12th, 19th, 26th, and APRIL 2nd 2012.
Format
This is a Learning Circle not a set curriculum, so there will be theoretical input, exercises and constellations, but with the flexibility to focus on requirements requested and agreed by the group but as a basic structure the following areas will be covered.
- Systems. Introduction to systemic thinking, brief history and development of this approach. Bert Hellinger and ‘The Orders of Love.’ Examples of systems, examples of intersecting systems. Ordering within systems, ordering of systems themselves. Being the ‘right size.’
- Balance. The balance of giving and receiving. How this affects relationships. The (re)-balance of justice. Conscience.
- Couples relationships. Keeping in balance. Previous marriages. Systemic framework for helping to find a good way to manage families with children from more than one relationship; finding the right place for what came before. Same sex couples. Dissolving relationships well.
- Loss. All the different ways this can happen in a system:- early death, suicide, abortions, shame, ‘lost’ members. Impact on those who come after. Impact on health.
- Victim/perpetrator dynamics. Recognising these in different forms and the systemic response. The importance of the orders of helping – keeping the right distance.
- The lens. The many uses of the systemic lens. A brief overview. Family, organizational, political, environmental; health/illness; coaching; education, trauma, supervision.
Who can attend?
This learning circle will be suitable for anyone interested in this approach and open to inner change as well as people who:-
- Have attended one or more personal issues workshops and would like to understand more of the underpinning theory and practice.
- Have attended one or more organizational workshops and would like to explore the connection between work/ organizational issues and family issues- or who would like to know more about how the systemic approach they have seen in relation to organizational health originates from family work.
- People who are considering undertaking one of the substantial trainings in constellations and who want a bridge between the workshop experience and the full training.
- Students of the work who want to deepen their knowledge and understanding, ask questions, discuss.
The Learning Circle will be led by Lynn Stoney supported by Barbara Barnard and held in St. James’s Piccadilly, London.
