London Venues: The London workshop will either be at Birkbeck College, Malet Street (nearest tube Goodge Street or Russell Square) or Liverpool Road Community Centre, Laycock Street (nearest tube Highbury and Islington). Liverpool Road Community Centre is in the housing complex on the corner of Liverpool Road and Laycock Street and is best approached through an open iron gate from Laycock Street. The Community Centre is the small hall straight ahead with a workshop sign on the door. From Liverpool Road turn into Laycock Street and go through the first gate on the right. From Highbury and Islington turn right out of station and walk along Upper Street. Turn right into Laycock Street and go past the Medical Centre on the left. The iron gate to the housing complex and Community Centre will be on the left just before reaching Liverpool Road.
The London one day workshop is designed for those who cannot manage the full weekend workshop but are interested in experiencing the work. From Jan 2020 the first 4 people to sign up and pay £80 will be guaranteed a chance to work directly on their own issue. There are also a number of non issue-holder places at the reduced rate of £40 (for representatives, students of the work and those accompanying an issue holder).
